Joy Wargo has trained futurity horses since 2007. She is an AQHA World Champion, AQHA Reserve World Champion, BFA Reserve World Champion, and a multi-award-winning 1D Champion. Joy is dedicated to helping others achieve their own award-winning dreams of transforming into seasoned, equine athletes.
Joy also has lofty goals to make the barrel racing industry the best it can be and improve horsemanship. Joy’s passion and enthusiasm for her work are contagious, and she’s ready to help others ignite their confidence and succeed.
Jolene Montgomery never had NFR rodeo dreams and from an early age wanted to explore barrel horse training. Jolene grew up in Ohio around some of the best futurity trainers in the business, and they were always willing to lend a hand and expertise to help her succeed.
Through faith, hard work, perseverance, and a little luck, Jolene realized success in the barrel racing world. She’s amassed over $2.3 million in earnings over the last 20 years, including 2 BFA juvenile championships, 2 BFA futurity championships, 3 AQHA world titles, and wins at most significant futurities.
Jolene credits an army of individuals with helping her along the way and wants to pay it forward to aspiring and seasoned barrel racers. It’s not just about the passion for what she does; Jolene is committed to doing the right thing and passing on her own knowledge and expertise.
Ashley Schafer has enjoyed riding for her entire life and has been training barrel horses for over ten years. She is passionate about increasing her knowledge and skill in the trade.
Ashley has over $1 million in earnings with multiple Futurity, Derby, and 1D Championships. Some of those include BBR World Finals, BFA Open, Diamonds and Dirt Futurity and Slot Race, Sand Cup Futurity, The Fizz Bomb Futurity, The Ardmore Futurity, and multiple ERA Rodeos. She is the leading Pink Buckle Incentive rider.
